Terms & Conditions

The agreement between you and Learninough — what you may do on the Platform, what you pay, and what we each owe the other.

Effective 13 July 2026 Last updated 24 September 2026

These Terms are a binding agreement between you and LEARNINOUGH PRIVATE LIMITED (CIN U85500KL2026PTC102204), registered at 43/2684/A2, Suite No. B4, Kolathara, Rahiman Bazar, Kolathara, Kozhikode, Kozhikode - 673655, Kerala ("we", "us", "our"), covering your use of the Learninough apps, app.learninough.com and learninough.com (the Platform).

By creating an account or using the Platform, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Platform. Our Privacy Policy forms part of this agreement.

1Who may use Learninough

You may use the Platform if you can form a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 — which generally means you are 18 or older.

We know that many people preparing for these exams are younger than that, and they are welcome. If you are under 18, you may use the Platform only with the consent and under the supervision of your parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for everything done on the account — including any purchase. We may ask for verifiable confirmation of that consent, and we may suspend an account until we get it.

2Your account

  • You sign in with your phone number and a one-time passcode. Keep your phone and your number secure — anyone who can receive your OTP can reach your account.
  • One person, one account. Do not share your account, and do not let anyone else use it.
  • Give us accurate information, and keep it current.
  • Tell us immediately at support@learninough.com if you think someone else has accessed your account.
  • You are responsible for everything that happens on your account.

3What you may do with the courses

When you enrol in a course, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to view its content for your own learning, for as long as your access lasts. You are buying access, not ownership.

What you must not do

  • Record, screenshot, screen-capture, download (except through the app's own download feature), copy, re-upload, resell, or share any lecture, note, test or other course material. We actively block screen capture on course content, and circumventing that protection is a breach of these Terms and of the Copyright Act, 1957.
  • Share your login so someone else can watch content they have not paid for.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape or attempt to extract our content or source code, or interfere with the security of the Platform.
  • Use bots, scripts or automation against the Platform.
  • Use the Platform for anything unlawful.

Piracy of course content is the fastest way to lose your account. We terminate for it, without refund, and we pursue it legally.

4How you behave towards other people

Tutors and other learners are people. Wherever you post or send anything on Learninough — a comment on the feed, a course review, a message to a tutor or another learner, a message in a course group chat, or your public profile — you must not post anything that is:

  • abusive, harassing, threatening, obscene, or hateful;
  • defamatory or knowingly false;
  • someone else's personal information;
  • spam, an advert, or a solicitation;
  • infringing of anyone's intellectual property;
  • unlawful under Indian law, including Rule 3(1)(b) of the IT Rules, 2021.

You can report a comment, a course review, a feed post, a chat message or a person from the app, and you can block someone so you no longer see what they post or send. We review reports within 24 hours and act on them. You can also write to support@learninough.com.

5Content you post

Your reviews, messages, bookmarks and attachments remain yours. By posting them, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce and display that content for the purpose of operating the Platform — for instance, showing your review on the course page or delivering your message to your tutor.

Note that course reviews are public — they appear on the course page with your name and photo. Do not write anything in a review that you would not want published.

You confirm that you own or are entitled to post whatever you upload, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights.

6Payments, and our no-refund policy

Where you pay

How you pay depends on where you buy. In the iPhone and iPad app you pay through Apple's App Store, and in the Android app through Google Play, each under that store's own terms and at the price that store lists. Purchases on our web app are processed by a third-party payment gateway, at prices shown in Indian Rupees including GST unless stated otherwise. Your access period is shown before you pay, and your access ends when it expires.

All sales are final

The only exceptions are:

  • We charged you twice for the same thing, or took a payment in error — we refund it in full;
  • We cannot deliver the course you paid for — we refund it in full;
  • a refund is required of us by law, which nothing in these Terms is intended to take away. Your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 stand regardless of what this section says.

To raise one of the above, email support@learninough.com within 7 days of the charge. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.

A purchase made through the App Store can be refunded only by Apple, under Apple's own refund rules. We have no way to refund it ourselves, and that holds wherever these Terms say we will refund you. In one of the cases above, ask Apple for the refund, and write to us at support@learninough.com if you need help. Google can also refund a Google Play purchase under its own rules. Nothing in these Terms limits a refund that Apple or Google grant you.

Coupons

Coupons are subject to their own conditions, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may be withdrawn at any time before you use one. We may cancel a purchase made with a coupon that was obtained fraudulently. Coupons apply only where the checkout offers them.

Price changes

We may change prices at any time. A change never affects a course you have already bought.

Complimentary printed notes

Some faculty post printed notes to learners of their course. They are a free, optional extra offered at the faculty's discretion — they are not part of what you pay for, are not included in the price of a course on any platform, and carry no delivery charge. If you enrolled while the course was offering them, you can claim them once per course from the course's Notes tab, for as long as your enrolment is active. Claiming shares your name, phone number, email address and the postal address you choose with that course's faculty so they can post the notes (see our Privacy Policy). We do not promise a delivery date, and a faculty member may change or stop offering them at any time.

7Elite Coins

Elite Coins are a promotional reward, not money. You may earn them — for completing your profile, or through other offers — and use them where the checkout offers them.

  • Coins have no monetary value and are not legal tender, a deposit, a security, or a payment instrument under the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007.
  • They cannot be withdrawn, transferred, sold, gifted, or exchanged for cash — ever, and not on account closure.
  • They are personal to your account and expire when your account is closed, for whatever reason.
  • We may change how coins are earned, what they are worth against a purchase, and how many you can apply to an order, at any time.
  • Coins apply only where the checkout offers them. Coins you earn stay in your account.
  • We may cancel coins obtained through fraud, abuse, or a bug — including reversing a discount already applied.

8Sharing contacts and referrals

If you choose to share your phone contacts to find friends — which is entirely optional, and explained in the Privacy Policy — you confirm that you are entitled to share those contacts with us. Do not share an address book you do not have the right to share.

Rewards for referring friends are offers, not entitlements. We may change or withdraw them, and we will not pay out on referrals that are fake, self-referred, or automated.

9We do not guarantee results

Course content is educational material, not professional advice. Where a course covers law, tax, accounting or finance, it is teaching material — do not rely on it as advice for a real transaction. Verify against the primary source and consult a qualified professional.

AI-generated answers may be incomplete or wrong. Check them against the course material before you rely on them in an exam.

10Availability and changes to the Platform

We work to keep the Platform up, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend it for maintenance, and we may add, change or withdraw features, courses and tutors.

If we permanently withdraw a course you have paid for and still have access to, we will give you a comparable alternative or a pro-rata refund of the unexpired period — this is the one circumstance in which we refund a course we have withdrawn.

11Intellectual property

The Platform, the Learninough name and logo, and all course content — video, notes, tests, questions and design — are owned by us or by our tutors and are protected by Indian and international copyright and trade-mark law. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of it to you.

If you believe something on the Platform infringes your copyright, write to our Grievance Officer at support@learninough.com with details of the work and the infringing material, and we will act on it.

12Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Platform and delete your account at any time — see the Privacy Policy. Deleting your account does not entitle you to a refund of anything you have paid, and your coins are forfeited.

We may suspend or terminate your account, without refund, if you breach these Terms — in particular if you pirate course content, share your account, abuse another user or a tutor, or defraud the rewards programme. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.

13Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the Platform is provided "as is", and we exclude all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for any loss of profit, opportunity, data or goodwill, however it arises.

Our total liability to you, for everything, is capped at the total amount you actually paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose — or ₹1,000 if you have paid us nothing.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence — and nothing here affects your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

14Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss or cost (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Platform, your infringement of anyone's rights, or content you post.

15Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Kozhikode have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, and you and we both submit to them.

Before going to court, please write to us — most things are quicker to fix by email than by litigation.

16Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will notify you in the app or by message before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Platform after that means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not accept them, stop using the Platform and delete your account.

17General

  • If any clause of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest stand.
  • Our not enforcing a clause on one occasion does not waive it.
  • You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor of our business.
  • These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us about the Platform.
